it would depend on teh lottery, wouldnt' it? A million to 10 mmillion, and the list woul dhave to be short, as there would be property to pay off and a bunch set aside fro future use. Maybe actually pay everything off and finish what I have. Now give a larger win, and all bets are off, but I'd probably have to get a warehouse and start building the kinds of cars I'd want. And there definitely wouldn't be one car of one type, and some types would not be represented at all. Definitely not a car from each category.

I was just thinking of the newest one, because you didnt specify a year.

posted by  thunderbird1100

Sorry about that. They got rid of the 2 door for the new models? :banghead: . I myself prefer the style of the Bonneville. Any year it just has that mean stance to it.

posted by  newyorker

They havent a 2-door ever since the newest body style (which i think was the 2004 model year).

My uncle's girlfriend has a 2002 Bonneville SSE-i. It's pretty cool, got a little pep to it, about the same quickness as our 2002 RL. Although they keep having a lot of problems with it, and havent had a supercharger for a while now (belt broke).

posted by  thunderbird1100

Then you can consider it an SSE lol. Why not get a new belt. I was gona get an SSEI but my mechanic said that if the supercharger breaks its around $1500 so I decided to be on the safe side and get my cheap throwaway car.

posted by  newyorker

I dont know what he's up to with it, I havent talked to him in over 4 months, he really doesn't have time to do, he works like 14-16 hour days.

Why couldn't you just assume it was an almost infinite number? We've got like 20 good replies here, and you have to come in and be like "ehh well it depends on how much you won".

Why not just give an answer. Out of all the replies, yours is the one I really wanted to see. I made it really simple, all you had to do was fill in the blanks.

I know you always have to make yourself feel like you're better than everyone by contradicting and not playing along. But it was such an easy task.

Way to be a party pooper.

Sorry, I don't HAVE a list. As I said, I'd BUILD them, and that depends on what I'm feeling like at the time. There are a couple cars I know I'd get in a large lottery win and they are all in the same basic category.

New Ford GT, Replica of original GT40, Aston DB9, Ferrari F40, Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, finish my Comet, and a new Range Rover for my wife as well as a '67 Jag Series 1 1/2 XKE 4.2 convertible. That's it. ANYthing else would be up to what I felt like building, from a 460 powered Mustang II to a VW rod, to a tube frame '70 Mustang fatback, to a lowrider '61 Falcon woody wagon But maybe not even those. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. But there is no list of top cars in categories because I don't even THINK that way. I find no reason to single out "bests." It's part of what I always rail on about on these forums.

You could have filled in some of the blanks with the cars you mentioned. But I'm sorry, a Range Rover is not an SUV to you, its also a sports car, so it doesn't fit. A Ford GT is not a rare supercar, its also a daily driver, so no go there. Whatever.
