Well I may be buying my aunts 1991 Chevy Cavalier wagon for 150 from her,
it has 120k miles on it, kinda stalls when put in gear in cold weather (may
be some tranny shit god forbid) and got in a minor accident so that is why
the hood and fenders are replaced, there is a missing motor mount (but I
already know how to replace those) and thats all. Well here is my soon to
Looks like a pretty good idea, are you planning on restoring her to mint,
or putting in some mods too? :hi:
Keep us posted on what you do with her :cool2:
Needs a big block
I plan on just deckin it out with audio, putting a 350 small block in it if I get the chance :wink2: , paint it a classic flat black or a glossy black like my truck, 18 inch black Enkei's, take off the plastic moldings (before new paintjob) and shave the emblems, new color matched bumpers, re tint the windows 20% all around, re-upholster it (I can get it done for a low low price because of my connections with my friends :wink2:). Maybe make it a 5spd or a 4spd auto, LSD, and bag it, thats all I have planned for now. May take a while but can be accomplished :wink2:
Screw all that blingy carp!!! Leave her that way she is...take out the entire power train and thrown in an ls1...with a cam...blow it, Im thinking the ligenfelter twin turbo setup, a t56 tranny connected to a 12 bolt rear.
then Run it at the track looking like crap and stomp on gt 40's
^^Just a little walk through of what I need to replace, sorry if its difficult to understand me (only if you're from up north) :ohcrap:
I pretty much got the idea on what you're planning on replacing, but there's no sound lol
I got sound :wink2:
I heard it, gotta love the accent
I thought it was $150 but there you said $100?
I got her to lower it by doing work on her house :wink2:
Aww, good ole aunts lol. I guess it only being $100 and not in too bad of shape makes it worth it.
:oops:...My speakers were off :ohcrap::laughing:
Works for me now...That is a pretty crazy dialect, didn't hear you use "eh" even once ...Actually, I was getting pretty close to that accent when I lived in Florida, but then I moved up here lol :ohcrap:
Lol, I was born with it, and that was even trying to hide it a little bit :wink2:
It's easy to understand it's not like listening to a german or swedish person:laughing:
Stephen, are you sure you're not from someplace like Southern Alabama? LOL!
LOL, nope, born in St. Petersburg and raised in Largo and Gainsville
Ima good ol southan boy
holy rice, batman!!:banghead: :banghead: :wink2:
WOOHOO, I bought it, I paid 50 right now and the other 50 when I get into my bank account, just got it like 5 minutes ago I'm still excited
Noice! So..uhh....whens the Cosworth escort enigne gettin dropped in?
Tell us what happens...
Took out the seats and some of the carpeting, gonna have the seats reupholstered for free from some of my friends in the buisness, just dunno what I should make the theme, fixed the horn, changed fluids, flushed the rad, and changed the oil. Next will probably come a paint job (another freebe because my uncle works at one of those collision places) and then engine, wheels, audio, etc...
I vote for the Small block first!
Ditto, but if you can get the other stuff free, do that while saving up, looks like a really interesting project
Thats what she looks like now, no progress thus far lol
SHES ALIVE!!!!!!! I took her battery which was pushin out around 2 volts and went to Autozone to get it charged for free, they told me it was bad then tried to sell me another one and I just told em that I'd see if it was bad myself, so I put it in the car, started right up, now its time to sell it!
Video was removed because it was inapropriate...or just plain sucked LMAO
Haha I know, thing was I didn't need anyone to rate it I just wanted to show people what it looked like on the inside and all.
A little late for that now lol
I second that!
same here. but wait, he's a ford guy now
Haha naw I ain't really a Ford guy, I like all makes of trucks/cars. :wink2:
Bought a new battery today. A Duralast from autozone that started off costing 59.99 ended up being 77.89 because of state tax, and a 10 dollar core charge (that I got my 10 bucks back from the old battery). Starts up quicker than my moms car.
