Which country do you represent?

Home  \  Off Topic  \  Which country do you represent?

Not everyone here has their location specified under their avatar, so put what country you're from, and at the end of it, if I'm not to lazy, I'll make a chart.

Then we can all argue about whos country is better....

Ok, not the last part.

PS. America sucks.

You wouldn't last two minutes in Greece. Besides the biggest mob of Greeks (born in Greece) outside of Greece is in your hometown, doesn't that tell you how much the Balkans suck?

I'm sixth generation Australian, so there.

While I understand your point, that IS NOT the question. The question was;

And as a matter of fact it wasn't a question at all, it was a request. Have you been paying attention?

Since I feel like typing tonight, I'll list all of the places I've lived for at least six months and let you guys make a determination where I represent. Hell, my list is long enough for it's own chart. Chicago, Central Florida, Central Texas, North Dakota, Central Florida (again), Southern California, Germany, Turkey, England, Saudi Arabia, New Mexico and Redneck Hell. Keep in mind the list would be slightly longer if the under six month locations were added.:wink2:

Fixed

BTW Looks like you like to travel

1. Read it again, it's not fixed. It's still incorrect, just different.

2. Uh, not really. That's just the way life works out sometimes.

dinosaurs are cool

that leads me to a question i've been pondering... Redneck Hell... is that hell as defined by rednecks (which i'd imagine to be something like a chicago suburb) or hell defined by a non-redneck which happens to be a place full of rednecks (which would almost be definable as redneck heaven) or just a place that bad, dead rednecks go, and you're a redneck (or a misplaced non-redneck) typing from beyond the grave...

 Timmay!

Chris_Knows knows what I'm talking about lol, but in the city I'm in there are a bunch of 'different' people around, so I guess in a way they are quite common (like I was once asked by a drunk guy if I loved myself :screwy:  )

Over here, change the polar bears for rain, the penguins for rain, the igloo for a leaky condo, lots o' hockey and the Timmy's for....well more Timmy's.

Ain't it the life?

BTW, Me and my girlfriend have lunch every second Sunday at Tim Horton's, its a great tradition. Something that has been going on for two years and will never die.

Edit: by the way, we call it "timmy ho's" don't you?

posted by  Mathew

Haha, I was kidding about the penquins, polar bears and igloo's, although that would be cool lol.

Around here people do call it 'Timmy Ho's' but a lot will say 'Timmys' for short lol, and it is a good place to start a tradition. I found it funny the one night I went into one and they were kinda slow and this guy comes in after me and starts getting impatient and yelling at them and telling them to get me some service  what a nice guy he was.

"Tim Hortons". Its the quintessential Canadian cafe. Named after the hockey player Tim Horton...who I believe...was killed in a car accident...?

Lets let Wikipedia explain:

Tim Horton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Horton)
Tim Horton's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Hortons)

Hehe, of course its related to hockey in some way, isn't everything Canadian?

I didn't realize that it had surpassed McDonalds in Canada. Woohoo!

Woot, in your face Ronald McDonald

Except I just read that they are now owned by Wendy's. For f uck's sake.

Do you guys (in Ontario) have those combo Tim Hortons/Wendy's?

posted by  Mathew

Nope, I've never seen them together, there's usually a Tim Hortons close to one, but never in the same store. There's Country Style and Dairy Queen together here though.

posted by  car_crazy89

No prizes for guessing ... I'm 4th gen.

posted by  windsonian

We have lots of these: http://www.camrose.com/graphics/ecdev/wendys_timhortons.jpg, with drive thrus for both stores, one on each side. Inside the restaurant its just like a double-wide fast food restaurant with the counters beside each other, separated by washrooms.

posted by  Mathew

That's exactly like the Country Style/Dairy Queen stores here.
