Here are the rules...
1.) The pic of your car has to be at nite.
2.) NO FLASH
3.) Have fun
Here are some I took a couple of nights ago around the SIUC campus.
*Almost forgot to mention, these are with my old stock headlights. I had to remove the Denji's so I could clean one of them (water got in one and I had to clean the inside of the glass as the dirty water left nasty residue when it evaporated).
Gina in front of the dorms showing off LEDS/City Lights/alarm security blinking lights (when off).
Close up of "City Lights".
I love this country!!!
NFS:MW Hiding out/cooling down.
Okay, time to go now...
(I'm still puzzled as to why those came up smaller:doh:)
And finally my favorite, this was taken in front of the symbol for SIUC, the clock tower/Pullium Hall. I think it came out fantastic.
I reallly need a digital camera. :ohcrap:
Me 2. I borrow my friends camera every chance I get and take pics.
I forget your cars named like mine
tad bit dark last night when i took this:thumbs:
I'll try again tonight
Lol, might want to get some type of lighting that's not the flash from the camera.
Great minds think alike :wink2:
I guess no one is up to the challenge:roll: :mad2: :ohcrap: :driving:
I would except I lack a car to take snaps of....
I was hoping to see at least a few more though. anyone got some old nighttime pics or something?:hi:
I could take some of my beater(s), but they won't be anywhere 'cool' or 'different' lol, as they aren't road legal right now.
Well I'll try to but I have a feeling all you will be able to see is the parking lights and running lights...actually that might be kind of interesting.
Well, my digital camera has some lovely tricks to it. Now, everything is
bright. Feel the blur.
Just wondering, was the blur on purpose??
haha, I desperately wish I could say it was.
Have you tried changing the shutter speed???
Well, actually that's the right shutter speed...it's just I don't have a tripod and I'm not too skilled at staying still for very long.
Why don't you play with the shutter speed. How about making it faster so that your small movements don't affect it as much. Make the camera take the pic faster.
Lol, I'll give it a try...I just hope it won't end up looking like three little UFO's in complete darkness.
It shouldn't as long as you have a night setting and some ambient/non direct) light.
Aside from the grainyness and obvious motion blur, the second pic doesn't look too bad. Perhaps I should try that angle again with a faster shutter speed and, if I can find something suitable, a platform of some kind to rest it on.
I did have a large disadvantage in the fact that I did not have time to move my car anywhere, but I do have really good equipment (not to brag, but it is true, photography is my thing) so I had that going for me. I do have a tripod and did use it some (most of the shots taken were 15 secs long to get the max amount of light), and so I did not put the camera on the ground because I had no tripod--its a effect most major car mags I have seen use.
So here's the Cam-Cam at night:
And some that I took with my cross-screen filter (it adds the stars on any light source)
And, yes, that is Spongebob on my bumper... my sisters had the car before I did, but never fear, I get a new bumper soon (some girl hit me in the parking lot and drove away--I wasnt even in the car, the Cam-Cam was parked... lol...).
Makes me wanna buy a tripod:ohcrap:
Yeah those are pretty sweet, but did you really set your camera to take 15 second pictures? That's pretty crazy lol
Ya, they were (mostly) 15 secs because there was almost no exterior
Tripods are very helpful. I have a Slik AMT tripod, its a beast.
What kind of digi cam do you guys have? I have a Canon S1 IS. Thinking I may buy myself a DSLR though... just have to find one that works with my 58mm and 62mm Nikkor lenses for my 35mm film Nikon SLRs. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be appreciated.
i've got a fujifilm finepix A345 4.1 mega pixels, yeah im also looking into gettins a digital SLR more that likely a canon rebel, i have a canon EOS rebel, i was looking at getting another film camera but i want to upgrade my digital:thumbs:
I'm borrowing my friends Canon Powershot SD400. It's a tiny little thing that packs a punch.
might do it tonight... for now just look at pic of my car in sig
btw i have Nikon Coolpix S1 5.1 megapixel
