Hellooooo guys. I have a problem with MSN. The wife upgraded to MSN beta or
something (dunno why lol), and now I cant sign in with my password, Kerry
(wife) was able to sign into her account though...any ideas?
Thanx in advance!
is this with the messenger? or email? or both?
Try going to the msn signon: here (http://login.passport.net/uilogin.srf?lc=1033&id=6528)
put in your username and click forgot password and see what happens from there
It appears only to be with Messenger, although I cant double check at the moment. Aldo, it doesn't say that the password is incorrect, it just says passport doesn't support my password or something, which is different to the message I get if I input an incorrect password!
If you tell me exactly what it says, I'll look on google, odds are others have had that problem too, and I'm bored lol
I dont remember what the exact wording was......and cant check till tomorrow now Grrrrr. My above post was as acurate as I remember! cheers Chris
You could always get Trillian, which works really well with msn messenger,
and if you have multiple messenger accounts, it will run them all without
needing multiple programs
Probably not this, but my MSN does this (it's a Beta too)
If that's the thing, you need a program called MSNP13 Downgrader (a proxy) because it's only supposed to be available to select people lol...
Yeah, that's what it says.....how do I download that proxy thing?
Cliify, I don't know exactly what your problem is, nor do I claim to be a computer expert, but... For the last several years my wife and I have been able to sign into Hotmail and MSN by simply typing in our ID and password. Just recently it changed so that we have to type in the ID and @hotmail.com or @msn.com. Just my two cents, it's usually the simple things that fix a problem. Hope it helps.
I'll send you the thing when I get home (your hotmail still works, right?)...But ask your wife, and make sure she doesn't already have it because if she doesn't, then she shouldn't be able to sign in either lol
I have to type in both of them too, but I've always needed to. I used to
have MSN sign me in automatically rather than have to keep on typing the
email address and password, If Kerry has kept this system, it might let her
in, at a guess lol. Thanx anyway, hobo!
I think she can sign in ok...but then, I believe hers sign in automatically (check my response to hobo, above!). And yes, My email is working...I just checked lol. Thanx!
An update guys. I've sorted it. It would appear that all I had to do was get Kerry to invite me to it, as Microsoft invited her and not me......or something like that anyway. Thanx for all the help guys, and thanx for the email Chris, I'll keep it incase I cock something else up that requires it lol
While were on internet problems I have a problem that I can't figure out with my firefox. Whenever I try to stream a video directly from a site i get that old looking windows media player from like windows 98 and stuff any ideas why or how i could fix it?
Not sure about that, but how about some snapshots or something? If we're
getting into computer help, can someone tell me how to fix this lol:
(It happens everytime I try to open a flash file [that's from Google Video])
I deleted my Quicktime to get Quicktime Pro, and then it wouldn't open those files, so I deleted Quicktime, and reinstalled it a couple of times, but nothing...
Weird thing is that they work fine from Internet Explorer
