Wow, this kind of surprises me. I haven't really noticed much rap. Seeing how 99% of kids in HS liked rap, how popular it is in college, and how rappers are usually topping the charts, it's strange not to see any 50 cent.

My "no particular order, and often changing" top 5-
System of a Down
Rage Against the Machine
Gogol Bordello
Days of the New

I have never been a big rap fan... I don't really mind it, some of it is pretty good, plus I like the bass/beat of most.

~Three Days Grace
~Puddle of Mudd

Some of those will change, and 3-5 aren't in order lol.

I listen to a lot of rap but whenever I don't feel like pumpin the speakers I usually just tune into the music thats practically generic in the beach areas here in Florida :wink2:

Wow, I'm surprised to see other fans too. I was at BestBuy the other day wearing my "Gypsy Punks" shirt, and some guy was talking on his cell, and he tells whoever he's talking to hold on, and then he runs over to me and tells me how much he loves Gogol.

Anyways, their cd's are pretty good, but they are AWESOME in concert. You could never capture that energy to a cd.

I'm kind of surprised to see them listed lol. I like them, but whenever I mention them to most people they get a weird look on their face and say "Nightwish?" :ohcrap:

YES! Finally, another Green Day fan ... I like the beatles mildly, but Green Day and Flogging Molly are both better.

posted by  musclecarneon

never thought id see those on here:thumbs:

omg theyre incredible. Yngwie is completely self absorbed, but he can rip like none other.

If you like Steve Vai, you should try Joe Satriani. Also a phenomenal guitarist. He taught Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett, John Petrucci of Dream Theatre, and the guitarist from Third Eye Blind.
And if you have the time, download "Bad Horsie" by Steve Vai and prepare to be amazed

Don't get me wrong, Green Day is great. But I don't see them revolutionizing rock n roll, making the world a better place, or having any great influence on america (or britain, japan, germany, or anywhere else that the beatles still remain the greatest musical influence in history)... Need I go on?

Opinions are like assholes, everyones got em.
And no one wants to hear about them.

Even though what I said was an opinion as well, there are also facts to back it up.

Green Day is a GREAT band. I've seen them in concert and they were awesome. Plus my friends stepdad knows the guy that plays keyboards and sax for them (Can you say free tickets and after-party tickets? :hi: !). But there will NEVER be anyone like the beatles every again. Ever.

Do some research on em, it might spark an interest in them. They completely changed my from what i was before i listened to them.

**** Mark Chapman. He deserves to rot in hell
