If you haven't seen by my title yet, I am a glow-worm (I like neon lights
on cars). Here's some pics of my old car, a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE (the
car in my sig, which has now been sold) and my new car. If you can guess
what it is, I'll give you an E-cookie. Pics:
The pic above is what was under the car. Multiple 12" Cold Cathodes wired together connected to a fuse, then the battery. It was hell because of all the wires, but the light was so much brighter than regular neon.
Only has 2 regular neon tubes on the front and rear. For the sides, I'm going with the green Cold Cathodes that I didn't sell. Now the question is...who can guess the car?
Civic or Eclipse
^^^ Give away
Definite give away... Either mid- 90's Lumina or Monte Carlo, can't see the doors.
yeah it looks like a lumina
i was gonna say...monte carlo or llumina cause of the taillights
95 Lumina. Nice car for 1300 bucks IMO. I'll get day pics up when I get some time.
Ha, I called it first!!! Boo-YA!!!!
I said Civic because the headlight position kinda reminded me of Gina (not mine the other one) :wink2:
lol, I see
Still haven't gotten any time to put the green on the sides. The whole weekend has been 80's and humid. I like 60s-70s and no humidity. Not to mention "UV danger" is "very high" and the air quality is unhealthy (like I care, since I smoke anyways). The next few days in this week should be low 70s-high 60s. Should be nice. Humidity should go away too. Can't wait till these storms come through.
the tail lights remind me of a dodge neon
Never really been too much of a fan of neon.
Eh, it's an "aquired taste" I guess. Kinda like rotten shark in Scotland...:puke:
And beer!
Congrats on the Lumina, looks good (even though the pics are dark lol). I hear ya about the hot weather though, it was 32C today (40C with humidity), and about the same yesterday.. too hot to want to do anything but laze(?) around. Can't wait for the day pics.
Its only 92 F here which is pretty low for summer
yeah its 90 here as well.
but its a dry heat:thumbs:
Yea we haven't had rain in 2 weeks and its 86% humidity
Yes, but I live in Canada lol :wink2:
It was like that here too...Nobody can prove it's global warming though :smoke: lol...They say it should cool down tomorrow, but for the last 2 days, school was terrible with some classes not having any fans, and no A/C in any of the classrooms lol :ohcrap:
Haha, that's why I'm glad I only have 2 classes in the morning.. but also
makes it suck that I'm working in a local garage for the rest of the day
lol (for coop, so counts for school credits).. oh well, it's supposed to
thunderstorm pretty good tonight (doesn't look like it though)..:ohcrap:
Oh ya, we have AC at my school.. but it's only in the gym
Our gym doesn't have air conditioning but our library and one or two computer labs do lol. My auto shop teacher takes us to the air conduitioned computer room pretty often though lol. The dumbest thing is that our detention room has A/C so everyone's doing whatever they can to get in there
Some day pics as well as my new glow (realized that a lot of the green neon
I have is broken!!!:banghead: ) Some may have thought it looked like an
alien or spaceship before, haha, well look now. lol...
fog+headlight glow is FTW
Isn't that like...majorly illegal
I was going to ask the same thing lol.. although I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get stopped for that around here.
that looks pretty damn sweet, imagine it on a car completly done up with
a 2 tone paintjob etc....
cool idea, i actually havent seen it done before
It's only illegal if you get caught:wink2:
Actually, like the underbody kit, it's hooked up to a switch so I can have them on in the daylight (cops don't seem to mind. passed 4 of them in 40 minutes..) and then switch them off when I need them...
Dude you have to tell me how you rigged that either through PM or here because now I want to do it to my truck lol
I will later, but unless you don't have 14" of room for this exact tube, then it won't work EXACTLY the same. They do make 4" tubes that are similar though.
