We see them everywhere over here, the Lotus/Caterham 7. They originate from a town called...erm....Caterham, lol, in Surrey (where I'm from)

theres 2 floating round plymouth, one with a kawasaki ninja engine and another with a v8

I remember them making a few like that as special editions I think, unless this is a custom job?

posted by  Cliffy

the v8 is custom

posted by  True_Brit

Didn't see the bit about a V8....I'm assuming it was a Rover V8? as with all brit V8's, lol

no, chevvy

Proper custom job then! Although the more I think about it, the easier ther conversion seems...being a GM lump 'n all!

The most I see around my area would be a Ferarri or a Lotus. It's better than nothing though.

So many different companies do these kind of cars. It's nice to see that a 50year design can still be one of the best today.

That is a Lotus...sort of...

i do agree, classic yet modern in design
able to take on many different engines ranging from
1200cc to 5000cc

It looks like a go cart

noooooooo, its a great car (maybe not in the rain with the canvas roof)

It handles like a go-kart, probably the most popular kind of cars at club racing.

Well seeing as though the Quantum Extreme has a power to weight ratio better than a Murcierlago, I'm not suprised.

BTW what happened to Graham Hill bend and Surtees?

posted by  fudge

Yeah, an English friend of mine's dad calls them THE English sports car. I saw one a couple weeks ago here in Edmonton...looked the part perfectly but had a Corvette's heart in it unfortunately...

not unfortunate if the engines light too!!!
the engine i like in them is the vauxhall 2.0 or the v6

probably an old map, havnt realised it until you popped up asking!!!
theyve still got surtees, what you see in the map is the longer track, the GP track

I was hoping for it to be one of the originals with the Ford-Cosworth engines that produced around 260hp...:smoke: Come on now...these had acceleration times from 0-60in 3.1-3.5 seconds.:wink2:

The whole car itself weighed around 500kg (with various engine models varying in weight obviously).
