Classic music videos!

Home  \  Off Topic  \  Classic music videos!

I was just watching the video to Meat Loaf's "new" song , which prompted me to start a thread really, lol. So, what is everybody's all time favourite music video? Queens Bohemian rhapsody was the first real music video if I remember correctly, and it was a classic, but not the best ever in my opinion, of course :wink2:

As a true Meat Loaf fan, one of my favourites was of 'I'd do anything for love', and the other is his most recent offering of 'It's all coming back to me now' featuring Marion Raven, here's the link to these two! I love this one because Meat hasn't changed the video much from what it should be (Near identical to Celine Dions version, and Pandora's Box's version!)

"It's all coming back to me now" (http://newmedia.10thst.com/meatloaf/allcomingback.mov)

"Anything for love" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwH7si_uNwY)

Other great vids in my opinnion are, 'November rain' by Guns 'n Roses and 'Bat outta Hell' by Mr.Loaf, that being great purely on it's age/quality factor! (1976 I believe), I can't remember all of that....but I remember parts, lol (it's been a while!). Please link us to videos where possible!

Edit: Another one..."Objects in the rearview mirror" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_svYzYuh7_0) Very touching! lol, I just typed in Meat Loaf to YouTube....It never occured to me what great vids I'd find by doing so...there's sooo many others I could link to but I dont have time...

Too many good ones to choose a favorite, but Bohemian Rhapsody want even close to being the first music video. The Beatle's Hard Days' Night was a true long form music video in '64, but they did many more, as did the Rolling Stones. "Ferry 'cross the Mersey" by Gerry and the Pacemakers was a real music video, too, and you can see older videos like these on VH1 occasionally. I think Ricky Nelson did the first real rock video in the early '60s, though.

One of my all time favorite videos, Pearl Jam's "Do the Evolution" which was directed by Todd McFarlane (the guy who does Spawn). The whole thing is animated.

And probably my favorite, just for its wackiness. Supergrass' "Pumping on Your Stereo", featuring the bandmembers as giant puppets.

Ya have to admit though, inythingy, that link lead you to one cool video!
