Just wonderin?

Me: I just started dating this new girl but I was going to take her to anteres in the Reunion tower in dallas. Its a giant ball that rotates and you look out over dallas, but i tryed to get reservations a awhile back and could only get some for thursday but she wants to go out on wed so I figure Ill just take her to somewhere like salt grass and then to some movie she wants to see real bad.

We (me and the missus) never really do anything for Valentine's day...We just do the whole prezzies and cards thing. Maybe we'll watch a dodgy Movie on the TV though (not porn...before GW asks, lol)

I'm going to be spending the majority of my Valentine's Day 30,000 feet above land while going to San Francisco for some conference thing. The only benefit is that it's all expenses paid. I'm making sure as hard as possible that the people I want to get gifts for, get them. I also hope bad weather doesn't ground us.

I take it this is an Australian themed eatery? Do they have bone fide Aussies greeting you? e.g. "G'day cobber didyahaveagoodweekend."

Surf and Turf ?

I can see why you like it there. Tell 'em it's not "shrimp", but "prawns". Where's the Pavlova with Kiwi Fruit for dessert?

I have a serious question: when I watch various television shows and movies, I notice that the US characters chop up their food, place the knife on the table, swap the fork to the knife hand and shovel the food into the mouth. Is this actually a common custom or just some made up back woodsman thing? Even Jim Bob Walton's mum managed a knife and fork, even though the rest of the family couldn't.:wink2:

I'm going to decorate my boyfriend's office at work with Valentine's things (I love you's, confetti, a happy Valentine's Day banner and his present [I got him a altimeter/barometer/stopwatch sort of device that he can wear on his arm while snowboarding and something for work called "The Cubes"]). Then we are having a party at work, but unfortunately I was informed a beer keg was inappropriate, so I'll settle for Java I suppose. After work, we'll go to dinner and probably just rent a movie and snuggle at home.

Never heard of ricekiller.com, and I haven't been to Reunion Tower. I've actually heard that Reunion Tower isn't all that amazing. The only cool part is the environment (rotating ball really high up in the Dallas skyline for those of you who don't know).

True_Brit: I didn't lose it. It's just not here yet. I def couldn't find her Christmas present for a little while a few months ago... that was bad lol.

I know I'm a day late but I'm back. For Valentines my boyfriend flew me up to Charlotte, NC where we drove to Winston-Salem. Stayed there the past 4 days. We played a lot of Pool on Valentines Day.. He kicked my ass in a few games. Did the whole dinner thing. Movie thing. Chocolates, presents, cards. And you know, but anyways. I hope everyone had a wonderful Feb 14th.
