Decided to go out and try to take some pictures of the city tonight (not of
the car as usual)
Here are the best ones, let me know what you think.
BTW they are not edited yet, straight off of the memory card
Is that rocky? lol
Yep. They dedicated the statue to him, I think because the movie was filmed in the city, and I think he was born here as well (not rocky, but Sylvester Stallone (i cant spell that)).
great pictures... what camera are u using?
I thought Sylvester Stallone was born in Italy (i.e. The Italian Stallion)
Anyhow, the pics are nice.
BTW, the first pic blew my mind lol.
Fujifilm Finepix S5200
Well were both wrong. He was born in New York
Stallone was born in Hell's Kitchen, New York; the son of Jacqueline "Jackie" (nee Labofish), an astrologer, former dancer, and promoter of women's wrestling, and Frank Stallone, Sr., a hairdresser. Stallone's father was an immigrant from Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, and his mother is of part Eastern European Jewish ancestry (her grandmother, Rosa Rabinovich, was from Odessa, Ukraine). In the 1960s, Stallone attended the American College of Switzerland, Leysin and the University of Miami for three years. He came within a few credit hours of graduation, before he decided to drop out and pursue an acting career. After Stallone's request that his acting and life experiences be accepted in exchange for his remaining credits, he was granted a Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) degree by the President of the University of Miami in 1999.
Indeed Sylverster was born in New York. The status is dedicated to him
because the movie was shot here. The steps that he is running up and down
for training are the steps in front of the art museum and are now named the
"rocky steps" in his honor.
That first picture is boathouse rose. Makes Philly look great! Unfortunately, the views are only 25% of the story but that's a different topic.
Nice pics, Alex. Are you sure they're unedited? The quality is amazing! Is that an expensive camera?
We still meant to go to south street, columbus blvd. and I wanted to take some picture of I95 from the south street bridge but it was midnight already
Great pics, loved the first one....did they forget to take the Christmas lights down? lol
A few more from today...bored
Eyelids are getting a second layer or Vinyl that will be colormatched to the rest of the car...well im getting a 50 foot roll cause thats the least I could find, but its cool, the shop that did my window tint is paying for it, and the install, and i get the roll. Im rocking their advertisement so they did me a favr. (see last picture rear little window for my shameless advertising lol)
Naw, boathouse row is a row of houses on the waterfront that has lights
just about every night, year round. Cool sight!
I knew it was a matter of time until you ruined the thread with this. jk, jk
Wow you have got some great pictures! My city looks nothing like that, haha.
awesome pics, well, ok, the car pics where shitty....
Great pictures. I've seen the boat houses from the train between DC and NY
and bunch of times- that has always been one of my favs.
We now have two phili cheese stake places down here that bring the bread down from Philadelphia every day and use cheesewiz. HEAVEN.
