This is my 1980 Chevy Malibu. I call it the powerwagon. It's originally a 4-door, but I welded shut and smoothed the rear doors, shaved the hood ornament, and put on some '96 Mustang orange paint, with 6 layers of PPG gold pearl, and 2 clearcoats. Inside, it's all redone, with new carpet, headliner, and buckets. The buckets are from a '87 Buick Regal Turbo-T. I also have dropped in a sound system consisting of an Aiwa 45x4 HU, stock front center speaker, 180 watt Jensen 6x9's, and 2-12" MTX Thunder 4000 400 watt subwoofers powered by a 760 watt Sony X-Plod amp. Believe me- it POUNDS!!! Right now, the drivetrain is a 267 small block, backed up by a TH-350 tranny with B&M shift kit, and a 7.5" rear with 2.73 gears. This combo is very lazy, so I'm planning on a GM Performance Parts ZZ4 350 small block crate motor (355 hp, 405 lb. ft. torque.!!!) 700-R4 tranny with B&M shift kit, Pro Ratchet shifter, and 2500 stall converter. I'm backing that up with an 8.5" 10 bolt with posi and 3.42 gears. I have a buddy with a similar combo, and he runs high 12's... With a WAGON!!!!!!!! That's kick ass!
