I figured you all would like to see my car in it's least finest hour, what
with primer and filler covering almost all of it. But here it is- it is
still in the bodyshop until tuesday (it's been there since last saturday),
hopefully they'll get it out on time. It was supposed to be ready Friday or
before. I suppose it's no big deal- at least they're doing a good job. So
hurr it is:
Hey, that's cool man. How much did all that work set you back?
nice civic why dont you tell us why it is in the shop in the first place? what are you having done to it?
Nice civic Patrick! Looks great!
Ki2AY, it's there for paint.
lookin good Patrick. Can't wait to see her done.
Lookin' good Patrick!...I love seeing cars in the bodyshop....I just love seeing the finished product, make sure you show us!
Phew I thought you were going to rice up your civic. What clour are you going to have it?
No- I had considered a body kit, but I can't afford one that actually looks
good. All the inexpensive ones are quite ricey, and there is simply too
much risk involved, what with cracking, warping, and not even fitting in
the first place.
I am having it repainted black. With a new hood, new front right wheel quarter panel, and total resanding, undenting, and paint, it totalled to just shy of $1560. Bring on the sizzle.
damn. Can't wait to get an F-body in the paint shop. Paint will cost me more than the damn car did. lol.
I'd paint it for you. Come down to the dirty dirty and I'll do it. :hi:
hmm..hows about you come up to the clean clean and do it. :screwy:
Lol... at least now I know I am not the only one who calls the south the dirty-dirty...
You've never heard this place called the "dirty dirty" before?
Haha, I was just messin with you. I know a lot of people call the south "dirty-dirty". It was a play on words.
Finally, last thursday, I got my car back. I've taken a few pictures of it,
although they don't really do the car justice. These pictures don't really
portray the silky wet look it has. But in any case, they are at:
Looks great Patrick!
I appreciate the compliments, yall. This car means a lot to me, and I'm
hoping to make it as nice as possible with what monetary resources I have.
I already owe my dad $3000 for the car and paint, and I'm looking at
another $1000 for... stuff. I wanted your all's opinions about what's next-
Should I get headlight covers, this nifty 3-piece spoiler I found at
Extreme Dimensions (It looks like an Eclipse GST spoiler only not nearly as
tall), taillights, or new wheels? The rents probably won't let me get
anything until I get the car and paint payed for- they say "I need to pay
for what I've got now."
I'm thining about the spoiler or taillights for Christmas. But then again, I want a membership at the Louisville Athletic Club, too. So I don't know. I'd like to have more money, but who wouldn't.
This is why Im getting a second job.
Anywho, as for the headlight covers, the blackout ones like I had? Go for those and paint the inside of them. That way, no light can get through (Since it is a VERY bad idea to have them on at night). You could still see the headlight through mine in the day, so I was going to paint them. But the accident took that oppourtunity away. PLus they're only about 40 bucks for a pair. And they look Smexay on a black car.
On a completely different note, I must say. Your little dancing animation people keep perfect beat with "What are you Waiting For?" by Gwen Stefani. It's mesmorizing.
haha, so they do..
