I waited on this for a couple of days to see what kind of Americans we have here. Unfortunately I found out. The number one choice is the Star Spangled Banner.
Wow, I didn't think of patriotic music, hymns, or anything like that.
That's surprising. (I consider myself very patriotic.)
"Proud To be An American" by Lee Greenwood always gets me.
Yeah, I used to like it even though I generally dislike country music.
Unfortunately every time I came back from the desert (15 times from '90
till 00' when I retired) that was the first song they played when we got
off the plane and then about every third song after that.
Now when I hear it start I think about what it says but dread having to listen to it. And yes, when my wife comes back from the desert they still play it.
All of Linkin Parks songs. Every single one of them.
I think one the most emotional songs for me is "pool shark" by sublime.
Bradley Nowell predicted his own death in that song, admittidly not a hard thing to do (being a heroin adict and all), but that last note of the song after he says "one day i'm gonna lose the war" . Ooo, it gets to me every time, my skin crawls.
"my way" limp Bizkit (reminds me of my mom)
"heroes from our past" The Dropkick Murphys (my patriotic song)
"scarlet Begonias" the sublime remake (reminds me of a love lost)
by the way, does anyone know who did the original SCARLET BEGONIAS?
Yellowcard - Only One
All well, might as well keep it going.
Unforgiven 1 and 2-Metallica
Stairway to Heaven-Led Zepplin
Call to Arms-Manowar
Here without you- 3 Doors Down
There's lots of songs that can make me emotional, but it all depends on what mood I'm in.
Mad World~ Gary Jules!!! :2cents:
What?? How can we forget Eric Clapton? Tears in heaven anyone?
Yeah, you are right. :banghead:
Crossroads > Cream
Tales of Brave Ulysses
Linkin park and Jay-z - Numb/Encore is pretty good
Snipervirus, what do you think of the collaboration?
"Your Daddy's Son" from Ragtime, the Musical. Horribly depressing song. About a woman whose husband left her, so she buried their son alive.
Arms of an Angel- Sarah McLachlan
i get really teary eyed while riding powder on a snowboard and rocking out to system of a down(any song will do)
How could I forget:
Dance with the Devil-Immortal technique
That song is just crazy, It's about a kid so caught up in trying to prove that he is a hardcore drugdealer/gangsta that in order to get in a gang he rapes a woman that turns out to be his own mother.
Hahahhahahahahahhahahahahahaha......why Is That So Funny To Me?
Well, their collaboration is okay. I mean, I would prefer Linkin Park anyday. But for only 4 days, its great. Although I dont like all the songs, they arent bad either. Also, working with a rapper has gotten Linkin Park even more famous.
