92 SATURN sc NEEDS A BIT OH HELP........
Ok here my situation ,i want to find any and all sites for SATURN sc
modifications, and used body parts ,the 92' i recently purchaced has some
front bumper damage but alas i am having no luck finding really good mod
sites or even used part sites to get repairs done, all i've been able to
find is bumper reinforcement parts ,which is fine and I had plannened on
reinforcing the bumper anyways but i still need the actual bumper if im to
complete the task.
and secondly how do i get the check engine light to reset so it turns off,did a thourough check of systems, via diagnostics and all seems to be working well, all fluid levels are good, no noticable electrical problems,or cooling problems ,no voltage problems or leaks squeaks or tweeks of any sort and the car runs fine , still i cant get the light to reset from the check engine soon dummy light. save a dummy and help me reset mine
There is probably a reason why you're not finding much in the way of "good
mod sites" for your Saturn. I'll leave it up to your imagination to figure
out why. So let's go to the next paragraph.
You "did a thourough check of systems, via diagnostics and all seems to be working well". Your MIL is still on. You have an OBD I system. The MIL will only illuminate on your car when there is a DTC. This tells you there is a problem that needs attention. Resetting the MIL only masks the fact you have something wrong and will come back on unless it's repaired anyway. Time for more (proper?) diagnostics. Good luck.
here ya go. its a start
I'm a newbie and I dont fully understand all of your abreviations ,could you re interate in englis in long form plz.........
Doesn't SATURN have any mod clubs or fourums at all.I mean even The OLDS ALERO has mod pages , seems a shame that such a well built car wouldnt have some flashy after market add ons,I really need a front bumper replaced....not the reinforcemet piece.does anyone have any Idea as to a phone number for saturns main office of operations, maybe i could see if I can purchace one factory direct, and remember I'm new to all this, so sarcasam is not a valueable commodity in this line of wuestioning and answering to this reply......... THANKS
...how 'bout trying <Saturn Website> (http://www.saturn.com) for the information you need. They might be able to point you in the right direction...ya?
how bout going to a professional mechanic, or, dare i say, the dealer?
Huh, what???
Probably in regard to the acronyms above...???
That's sorta what I thought. It's a good thing he didn't try to spell acronym.
I guessed on the spelling...haha... ::biting nails::
OBD I = On-Board Diagnostics
MIL = Maintenance Indicator Light or Lamp
DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code
onboard diagnostics 1, malfunction indicator lamp
