while leaving a parking spot, I wasn't paying much attention and the corner of my front bumper scraped on a wall. does anyone know if touch up paint would do that job? i would post a picture but i was just wondering if anyone might have any input. the scratch isn't too deep though. thanks for any advice. oh, and the color of the car is silver.

If it's a single scratch, then yes touch up paint will do the job fairly well although it won't be invisible. Depending on the year, model and color of your car you can get what you need at a chain parts store, an automotive paint supplier or you might have to go to the dealer. You also have a choice of brush on or pen style. Good luck.

I've had some success in using polishing compound on the scratches. Of course success in using is certainly dependant on the severity of the scratch. If it is only a surface scratch...then some elbow grease might do the trick.
