I have a 1996 Ford F150 with a 302 5.0L V8. I have noticed it had been leaking a little bit of coolant and have just recently found the leak. It is coming from the top of the engine from a part on top of the valve cover. It looks like their are two aluminum plugs verticle to one another about 1/4 an inch apart on the upper left side of the engine(facing the truck) about 1/4 inch in diameter and the coolant is leaking from around the edge of the bottom plug. Just wanted to know if this is an easy fix or do I need to take the truck in for service. My engine was a bit low on coolant and since filling it up I don't think it has leaked quite as bad but it is still leaking. My truck has 177,000 miles on it and runs great. Any help would be appreciated.
if you can get a picture would help with your info
taking a guess would be the small coolant hose's to the throttle body and the leak is somewhere near the throttle body. check the attachment
