I have a doge Neon se 96 and i need help to find the exactly place where goes the coolant temperature sensor . Because the fan some times doesn't work.
sohc located next to cam sensor rear of the cylinder head
dohc located next rad cap thermostat housing
both engines use the same sensor look at attachment
Those Neons have too many sensors and they are everywhere. For example, there is a sensor in the battery box to determine the battery temperature! :doh: Why? Osborste is right about where the sensor you are looking for is located.
it helps to have two in the friend family circle 95 and 2001
:hi: thank you for everything .But when I LOOK FOR IT i CONFUSE THE SENSOR AND i TAKE OFF ANOTHER cALLED KNOCK SENSOR i CANT'T FIND THE COOLING TEMPERATURE SENSOR ( THE EXACTLY PLACE) wHAT CAN I DO PLEASE HELP ME. :banghead:
I Hope You Can Help Me Again
yep knock sensor is to low that the engine block hope you get it.
careful there coolant there at the sensor you'll need to top the system back up depending on how much you lose
left side of cylinder head..
A:: black/lt blue or black/red
B:: tan/dk blue or tan/black
C controls gauge.. A is common ground B is sensor signal.
UNDER HOOD, PASSENGER SIDE, UPPER ENGINE AREA, ABOVE WATER PUMP, MOUNTED
IN INTAKE MANIFOLD
THAT IS WHERE THE TEMP SENSOR IS FOR THAT CAR :thumbs:
if you took out the knock sensor, careful putting it back in. make sure you get the torque spec, other wise you'll damage it.
