1994 Ford F-150 Shift and ABS problem

Home  \  Repairs & Maintenance  \  1994 Ford F-150 Shift and ABS problem

Found the problem!! The part I replaced only fixed the cruise control, turns out it was a $.50 fuse that controls the warning hazards and break lights. Go figure. After spending nearly $75 trouble shooting. Oh well I did fix the cruise control, so all is not lost.

Thanks for your help.

Congrats! But why did the fuse blow in the first place?

1994 Ford F-150 Shift and ABS problem

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----

I have a 1994 Ford F-150 4WD 5.8 Liter that i couldn't shift out of park. I located a sensor on the master cyl that had fried. I picked up the parts needed to replace and did so. My ABS light is flashing 11 times then a steady light for a second then 11 times over and over. I assumed that the fried sensor was causing the problem, but it dosen't seem that that is the case. I still have the same problem. Engine starts fine, but I cant take it out of gear ( I know I Have To Have My Foot On The Brake) to shift. Does anyone have a answer or what the 11 flashes might mean.

Confused

i'm stilll looking at this and wondering how the fuse fixed all this

as for one thing that i see WHOEVER the person is that is named SROBER32, they only post smart remarks that i have seen on most of the peoples questions, ok so much for that
what i have seen in the past is the shifter has a solinoid on that is activated when the brake lalmps come on so make sure your brake lamps come on before spending money, could be a blown fuse to the lamps or ford has a problem with the green wire at the brake lamp switch that breaks just shy of the male wire connector check that also with the ABS there is a switch , in most cases, on the master cylinder or on a brake line just off the m/cylinder that deactivates the c/control which ford has had some problems with (fires) check that with an ohm's meter it shold show 0.00 ohms through the connectors on the switch, if it reads anything else its bad
