Need of Starter help....

I have a 94 accord, auto, ex, 4dr, 4cyc, 198,000mi. So i think recently my starter needs replacement....i don't know if you can repair a start or not...but i think it's the problem in my car so far.

Where is the starter located in a 94 accord? and can i replace it myself...i think i see it but it's pretty hidden and hard to reach... do i have to take out the engine to get to it...or can i get from underneath??...please reply back thanks.

Usually the starter is accessed from under the car. Jack the car up and support it on jack stands. :2cents:

most honda's the starter is accesible from up top, look near the battery or better yet follow the upper rad hose and then look straight down it should be perched on top of your transaxle and you'll most deffinately need some good tools, i find the snap-on swivel sockets are such a time saver for the honda starters
