So I went to this auto repair shop, and did a check out. And here is what I
get: "EVAP control, system fault, purge flow". Any expert know what happen?
And should I get it repair right away? Is there harm if I don't repair it?
BTW it's 98 toyota corolla.
these are codes found for toyota's obdII system
P0440 EVAP Control System.
P0441 EVAP Control System Improper Purge Flow.
P0446 EVAP Control System Vent Control.
P0450 EVAP Control System Pressure Sensor.
P0451 EVAP Control System Pressure Sensor Range/Performance.
did some searching on code p0441 as this matches closely to your posting
it could be your gas cap is faulty not sealing
here's the link
Yeah, the auto repair shop dealer also told me to change the gas cap, I did and the check engine light still came back on after 2 days. And they gave me trouble code 0441, same code like your guess. So guess I will go get it repair?
check with the dealer some emission componets are covered by warranty for different years some for 5yrs other manufacture's longer up to 10yrs
Also, if you fill your tank while the engine is running you could get this problem as well. :2cents:
