Have a Dodge with a 3.5 theres a load ticking sound coming from the upper end
sounds like a lifter, i took this apart and found nothing roller rockers look good and cam looks good, when i did the screw drive test sounds like coming from Passenger side.
This ticking sound will come and go at idle
Any Ideas?

so the noise is in the passangers cylinder head
you checked the play between the rocker and valve and found ?????
if you can feel the play/rocking of the rocker its to much they are not adjustable and serviced as a unit(rocker and hydraulic adjuster)

The tips that touch the Valve seem to run off oil pressure i take it, anyway to test these maybe one is bad they all seem to move up and down with my fingers
about an 1/16 each?
Thanks

thats what the picture i attached in the last post showed the lash adjuster's fill with oil(hydraulic)if one is bad it will fill slowly or not at all causeing the ticking
run it till warm/hot if still ticking try to quickly check which one's have play the hot engine will have expanded the steel to take up the clearance this way any lose ones will show up easier wear a pair of glove too it will be warm to hot
