Hey, I have a Chevy truck that has a new alternator in it and the radio has a whining pitch in it that varies with engine rpm, but when i turn it off (the radio) it stops. Any of you guys know whats wrong? I'm assuming it has something to do with the alternator since it never did that before it was put in. Any help is appreciated.
older chevy's(gm) alternator's if a diode was bad you would get the whine/buzz in the radio you could try a noise filter in the radio's power wire or take the alt back for another
