Recently while driving I heard a crunching noise (sounded like breaking sticks)from what I believe to be the tranny. Now there is no noise but the there speed tranny has problems shifting. At first it would shift by accelerating to bring the rpms way to high and backing off a bit, now it rarely shifts at all and when driving with it manually placed in 2nd gear it will go but then lose it like its slipped into neutral. I took it to a shop and they told me that code 45 and 32 came up but they didnt want to deal with it. I think they blew smoke up my ass cause they dont have a clue. Does anyone have any ideas??

Maybe it could be the clutch

yes, but which one?

smell your tranny fluid. if it's brown & smells like *ss, it's probably a toasted trans... if it smells like fresh cookies, send me a bottle....

Checking the fluid was the first thing I did but Im an electrican not a mechanic the fluid appears normal to me, looks like a clean translucent red and no funny smells.
