I just recently was given a 91 Acura Integra LX manual as a gift and was
warned that there might be some electrical problems. It was running fine
and the engine was very strong but after two weeks as I was driving up my
street the car completely shut down. The engine wouldn’t start and I
couldn't pop the clutch. It's completely dead. The radio was still
running and there is no clicking noise. Before I tow this to a mechanic I
was wondering if anyone can give insight as to why the car is no longer
running. Can it be the distributor or the intake? I am not familiar with
cars at all so any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Replace Or Check The Starter Or The Alternater
The check part sounds reasonable but not everyone has the money to go out and buy new parts for their car only to find out it was a problem with something else and that the part they jusy replaced was perfectly fine.
Just to clarify, right now you are saying that he should only have them checked out and not replaced if they are faulty?
