Just over the past couple of weeks, my 2-dr '89 Chrysler Lebaron is making
a loud grinding/clicking sound from the front end when going around turns.
It doesn't matter what speed, it still does it. I haven't the slightest
idea what this would be. Any suggestions, and insight, so I know what it
might be, and what to have checked?
Another thing with the car, I don't know if it's important, but, i think it's always done this, when the car is in reverse, and is switched to drive, it always almost dies.
does the speed of the clicking change with your driving speed?
Is it a FWD? If so the clicking is probably a worn CV joint or the drive
shafts popping in and out of the trensaxle due to a sheared engine
Rev sag can be anything from bad EGR valve to poor electrical connection. You need to run a diagnostic to make sure the exhaust is flowing freely, the map sensor is working, the vacuum is ok, the plugs are ok, the timing, the idle up solenoid, etc.
