Jeep G Cherokee - dead battery & blinking lights
I've got a 1995 Grand Cherokee.
For the last couple of months I've had this scenario happening:
It rains or I wash the car.
I go out the next morning to start the car, but it won't turn over because the battery is dead. But!, after my failed attempt at trying to start the car - the dome lights and the headlights starts flashing - just like they flash when the security system goes off. They're weak, but they're flashing. They continue flashing until the battery is completely dead.
It won't take a jump. It will turn over - run for a second and then dies.
If I wait until it things dry up - I can jump it and there is no problem. I can drive it until the next washing or the next rainstorm.
The flashing lights leads me to believe there is something wrong with the security system. A short?
Anyone have any ideas?
Definately a short somewhere. Check that the connections on your battery are clean and tight, that might be it.
