For full features; Go to '02 Explorer squeaky brake pedal
On my '02 Explorer when I press the brake pedal with a little bit of
pressure I hear a squeak, and the harder I press the pedal the louder it
gets. It sounds like a piece of rubber being compressed. I have looked at
the pedal and can't seem to pinpoint it. I have a friend that has an '01
Explorer that does the same thing, so I know it's not just mine. Is this
something that can be lubricated or fixed at home, or should this be left
to the professionals. If it is to big of a pain I guess I can just deal
with the noise as long as it's not a sign of bigger problems on the way.
