Dealership Decal Removing
Dealership Decal Removing
I just got a car and the dealership put their name on the back and i was
wondering the best way to take that off. I heard heating it would work but
i can kindof pick it off now. I'm just worried about the glue that would
be left. I have heard things like Goo Gone and WD-40 might work to take
that off. Any suggestions? Thanks.
usually if you go slow you can get most of it off at the same time. we used to use acrylic solvent or laquer thinner to take glue or almost anything off cars. but wd 40 would work as well. id spray the acrylic solvent on there and let it sit for about a min. then id take my fingernail and kinda see if i could get it off, then id use a rag and finish rubbing the glue off. might throw a little bit of wax on it afterwards.
Wow, you would seriously use laquer thinner on a car's paint? :screwy:
yep done it for 3 years detailing cars and never done a thing to them
i cant beilieve the dealership put their name on it, have them take it off, u already paid for the car, its yours. or u could listen to to adam, sounds like he knows what hes sayin
You've never seen a dealer put their little "logo" type of thing on the back of a car? It's kind of like the fish emblem that people put on their car, but it has the name of the dealer on it instead. Personally, I think the farthest they should go is putting their name on a license plate frame.
nope never seen anything like tha ton the islands. i agree with u in that they should just make a license plate frame, cuz u can just fix that with a 7dollar new one.
