92 - G20 Chevy Van problems
This problem started about a year ago. The (service engine soon) light
would come on as well as the (Break light). I pulled the codes and it came
out as the VSS. I had that replaced along with other things but found out
that wasn't my problem. It is some kind of grounding or something happening
somewhere that is making these lights come on. Also the (Speedometer, Heat,
AC & PW) would not work. My Wife's cousins hook up a toggle switch so I
would have Heat for the cold winters we have. Unfortunately I can not leave
the heat on for more than 2-3 minutes without the toggle switch getting
real hot and eventually blowing the fuse. Now I have heard it could just be
my (blower motor) that is shorting all this and causing the SES and break
lights to come on. Funny thing is when I do turn the toggle switch and put
the heat on the SES light goes out. I shut the switch off and the light
will stay out for awhile or even for the whole trip.
Also lately every once and a while when I stop (red light, stop sign) The
van would just shut off. I mean it will just die right there. I turn the
key and it starts up fine and im on my merry way again. This doesn't happen
often but will every so often. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in
advance.
Other than thiese problems the Van drives great.
