Painting an 88 Camaro?
hey all, i found a decent Camaro for sale it will need restoration and
such, the paint job especially is in really sad shape. would i need to
sand off all the original paint before i go to get it redone or would it be
better to have a shop do a full job for me? Also if all the original paint
was sanded off would it have to remain the original color or could it be
painted differently without it being to much of a hassle? thanks for any
help.
FallenAngel192You dont have to take the paint off clear to the metal, unless you want to. And once you sand the paint, and put new primer on it...you can have any color you wish. I tend to go for the original color, because i HATE sanding door jams :) plus if your inner fenders are same color as car, you dont have to take them out to paint them a new color.
