95 Neon Shutters while idle

95 Neon Shutters while idle
My Neon has been acting a little funny. While idling the engine seems to speratically shutter while it ingages the cooling fans. any suggestions or solutions would be appretiated. Also has difficulting accelerating at low revs.

check the plug wires they tend to burn off at the plug end inside the boot this will increase the load on the ignition/spark system and can give a miss in the idle/acceleration

111000. And i did notice some melting on one of the wires. Thanks for your input. Any reason for it to do it while in egages the cooling fan?

more load on a not so great running engine will cause it to sputter and die.
