Oil Change
When doing an oil change do i first take off the oil filter or the lug nut from the oil pan first? I never paid attention to when my mechanic did it, and i wana try myself one time.

Personally I do the oil first and the filter later.

You can do it either way but i would suggest draining the oil first, then the filter :2cents:

I've always drained the oil pan prior to swapping out the filter in the vehicles I've changed oil in.

I start draining the oil...and take the filter off whilst it's draining. Either way is okay, though :thumbs:

i grab the big catch pan and do both at same time while i look up the filter number, multi talented eh :wink2:
