Battery Dead???Wont Jump start...HELP
Battery Dead???Wont Jump start...HELP
OK my car 89' Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais was running good yesturday I think
I may have left the interior lights on last night...
I tried to jump start the car (twice I tried) and there is still no power
getting to the Oldsmobile no lights come on and it just wont start.
What could be wrong...
Help I check the connections... Help
if your not getting power throught the terminals/battery clamps check the
cable positive to the starter at the solinoid the battery wire will supply
power to other smaller wires in the harness to ignition/fuse box/dome
light
also check the negative wire should have a solid clean connection to the
engine block or cylinder head
I dono what it could be no power is getting through...
anthing else to check?
battery cable follow it down to the starter the distribution of power to the car is at the solinoid connection not the positive on the battery (rust/broken connection/loose)
ok I will check that...
I followed the batt cable wires but they go right under the engine block so its hard to see but I tugged on it a lil and it seems to be plugged in tight to somthing...
Start from the top...
I connect the cables (in proper order) Turn on the car with the good batt
(nothing happens to my Oldsmobile no lights ect.) Try to start My
Oldsmobile and nothing happens dosent even attempt to start and still no
lights nothing...
Batt and alternator are both 3-4 months old so I'm totally confused :banghead:
