95 passport volt meter drop
95 passport volt meter drop
i noticed the other day that when you give it gas to pass someone the volt
meter drops to 12. then when you let up on the gas it returns to 14 any
ideals????????? (the alt. is new and so is the battery) it is a 3.2 v6
(dis igniton)
Is it causing any issues? It's a 12V battery, so as long as you're not losing any devices/instruments etc, I wouldn't worry about it.
will drop below 12 if the head light are on, and if the a/c is on the engine acts like it mis fires
*from a PM*
alternator maybe ...?? Dunno, but I'll have a bit of a think about it.
Obviously something sucking up some juice.
have seen stuff like this on rebuilt/remans alts were the new brushes in
the alt are square and not worn into the curve of the alts shaft may take a
day or two for this to wear in and make better contact between the two
but if it a week old then maybe one or both the brushes have weak springs
and not makeing a good contact with the alts shaft
