I have an 88 chevy beretta and I have been working on putting an ignition lock switch in. I have a tilted steering wheel and it is required to take that wheel off to uninstall the old ignition lock switch. Well my problem is that the new lock switch that matches my car will not go in all the way. It gets half way and then stops. Do i have to put the steering wheel back on to install that switch or what should i do? Im completely stumped.
Make sure you're installing it in the same position you took the old one out in. That's to say the obvious and to say that if it had to be taken out in the "ON" position to put the new one in while in the "ON" position.
