Shaving door handles, taillights, and tailgate handle on chevy truck
i have a 1992 full size chevy ext cab truck and i am planning alot of mods for it starting with shaving the door handles, taillights, and tailgate. i am wondering what i need to know about this. i know how to weld and bondo so i have that part taken care of. i am just wondering what thickness metal i should use and also how you get the metal to match the rest of the truck like how to make it level. any suggestions would be great. thanks alot Nick
Not sure if or how much this helps (I know its not for a truck but it
helps):

I don't know about the tail lights being shaved but the rest sounds pretty
good, if you got an antenna you could shave that too.
Go to the junk yard and buy an old fender from your make of car.
That willl give you the same type of metal and you will have no problems.
thanks alot both of those sites helped me alot. ya that is a good idea to just find a old fender. thanks again ill let you all know how it turns out
Good luck with it, hope it turns out how you planned. Can't wait to hear more later
