blower fan stays on

I have a 1994 nissan maxima. I 'am having trouble with ac blower staying on after I turn the ac off . It is a auto climate control type . When ac is on the the fan speed can not be change manually . Stays on one speed. I have to pull two fuses to turn fan off. Do I need to replace the push button control assembly? THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
