Venture Wiper Trouble

Hey folks, having some trouble with the wipers on our van.

The vehicle in question is a 2001 Chevrolet Venture, 3.4L V6 with approximately 92000 miles.

The problem is that the windshield wipers will not park, they operate normally when switched on, but when they come to rest they stop in what I can only think to call their IDLE position, instead of folded down into the cowling where they normally PARK. Otherwise there are no problems with them. The wiper motor has already been replaced once by the dealership, in late November 2005. Essentially my question is, what is causing the wipers not to park, and what can be done to fix?

I had the same problem on our van last year. There is a mechanism on top of the wiper motor on the passenger side that changes the direction the wiper arm is traveling, but it was very dirty and not functioning properly, so we just cleaned it out/off and it works fine now. Was over a year ago, so I can't remember exactly how it was, but hope that helped. It was a mechanical problem, not an electrical problem.
