Squealing noise during sharp turns.

I drive a 94 Geo Prizm, and lately I've noticed that when I do a slow, sharp turn in either direction (like into a parking spot), there is a squealing noise coming from the front tires. I'm not positive, but I think it's worse when the car is just started up. I am just wondering what this could be.

From google, it seems that this could be a power steering leak or something along those lines.

Do you have any idea what this could be and what I should do to fix it?

Thanks!

Could be something as insignificant as the tyres squealing (this happens depending on the road surface, sometimes!), to the power steering belt slipping (more than likely if as you say, it happens more when just started up!). I cant hear the noise so it's only you'll who'll be able to say if it's the former or not (should be easy to determin)

try checking the power steering fluid level.... sounds like you are low on power steering fluid
