Ive been having problems starting my car after it has been sitting for 6
months. The car ran and operated just fine before, but when i came back to
it i ran into some problems. Sometimes the dash lights stay on when the key
isnt in the ignition and i can also turn on the fan and radio. It is like
the ignition is stuck on acc. I brought it to the shop and miraculously it
started to work fine. They checked my battery and starter and said that
they were fine. Since that day my car has been starting and running fine
with the dash lights turning off when they key is out. Tonight my car
decided to not do much of anything when i turned the key. All the lights
came on when i put the key onto acc, but when i turned the key to start it,
nothing happened. This is quite frustrating because i never know what is
going to happen. To me this seems like a wire is frayed or crossed in the
ignition because sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Does anyone know
if this is the problem? If so what do i need to purchase to fix the
problem? Thanks,
Nate
