I recently got my car checked out because some of the dash lights were
staying on and i could turn the heat on when the key was out. The problem
was on and off so the shop couldnt solve the problem. They did discover
however that there were 2 fuses in the junction box under the dash were
getting power when the key was out. Anyone know what i need to do to fix
the problem. thanks

basicly you need to trace the power, where is it comming from. If you know
it is in the junction box, is there a loose wire, or insulation with a nick
in it? did you ever add an alarm or anything? it could also be a bad
ignition switch.

I know its not the ignition switch, the shop checked that. All i know is
that they guy said that he found 2 fuses in the junction box that had power
that should have had power, not quite sure what that means but...

that means that it is somehow making a connection to something that has
power all the time. Next time it happens, pull the fuse for the dash lights
or the blower and see if they go off. If they go off, the problem is
upstream of the fuses, If they stay on, the problem is downstream of the
fuses, and back feeding the fuses. Either way, if the fuses shouldn't have
power you have to find where the power is coming from. A wiring diagram or
Haynes manual or similar would help you trace the source of the problem.

ok thanks ill check that out. I did purchase the manual when i found this
problem to check the solenoid. Ill let you know what happens when i pull
the fuses
