For full features; Go to 1991 Camaro will not start
So, i'm new to this forum and i'll just go ahead and extend my deepest
sympathy for the length of this post. I just do not have any clue as to
what to do at this point. I have a 1991 Camaro 3.1V6 I bought about a year
ago, and it has been sitting in my garage the whole time. It will not
start. I've replaced every part I can think of from a running parts car in
troubleshooting, and replaced parts with new ones that I thought may need
it. Still no cranky, except for the owner's outlook. The firing order is
correct, fuel is getting to the fuel rail, bypassing the diagnostic A and B
posts result in a 43 code flash (knock sensor). The funny thing about that
is the cooling fan comes on when I short the diagnostic terminals. Plus, I
don't think the knock sensor would keep the motor from cranking completely,
just make it run rough. So, after the ECM, injectors, fuel rail,
distributor, plugs and wires, intake and fuel injector harness, fuel pump,
fuel filter, and sensors have all been replaced i'm still at square 1. Any
help at this point would be greatly appreciated, and would save the car
from imminent destruction. It's a very nice looking car, by the way.
Thanks.

so it cranks but will not start.
3 things are needed to start: fuel, air, and spark
pull a plug, do you have spark when it cranks?
pull an injector, does it spray?
give it a shot of starting fluid, does it fire?
To diagnose we need a list of symptoms, not a list of parts that were
replaced.
yes, I'm a bitch, I am starting to think I am becoming a dumb hobo. Damn
school pisses me off

Ok, so i've got spark on the #1 at top dead center,
The fuel injectors are spraying on cue,
Starting fluid only wets the intake port temporarily, then dries up.
Symptom: Spins, but will not start.
Any known issues with any component? Does anyone think the knock sensor
would retard the timing enough to keep it from cranking?
Fuel, air and spark have been checked.
