For full features; Go to 87 Chevy wont run in rain
Hey everybody. My names Dan and I've got an 87 Chevy scotsdale w/ 42k
original miles!!!! Truck runs great lots of new parts however I went to
take it to work the other day in the rain and I lost all power coming from
the ignition. Everything that turns on w/ the key stopped working, no
smells or noises or any signs before it happened. Towed it back to my house
and the next day(was warm and dry) I got it all back and it fired right up.
It seems that water has been dripping down from the hood onto the fuse
panel on the firewall which could be the culprit or I've also heard the
wires at the starter (pos feed leads to starter and out from there) could
have caused it. I'm terrible with anything electrical and with the truck
running I can't test any wires. I really don't wanna get stuck on the side
of the road either. I tried splashing some water around but I can't get it
to die again in my driveway. Any ideas or heard of anything similar??? Any
help would be much appreciated.

Sorry I forgot it's got a 350 First year TBI 4spd on the column. When broke
down Key wont turn it over but jumping the posts on the starter will get it
to, but wont run without the ECM telling the fuel and spark to fire away.
