My brakes didn't feel right so I took it to a brake shop and they replaced
the wheel cylinder (which they said were leaking) they also told me that I
would have to have the master cylinder replaced as it was going bad. My
husband has replaced the master cylinder and bled the brakes 4 or 5 times
(making sure the reservoir was full) and still no brakes. What now???

does this car have ABS?
tbaxleyjr
yes it does, and they undid the new master cylinder last night and bench
bled it to check to make sure it was working (pulling the fluid thru), so
he's going to try to bleed it at each tire again when he gets home tonight

Now I have brakes, but the brake warning light won't go off and continues
to make the most annoying dinging/warning sound - any ideas?????
:banghead: Also if you unplug the ABS at the master cylinder the light and
dinging stop while still having brakes. Do you have to reset the ABS
somehow???

On many cars with ABS, a scan tool is required to operate the ABS hydraulic
pump and control unit in order to completely bleed the system. You need to
find a GM factory manual and get the right procedures.
