i first noticed this when i bought the car. and has been intermittent.
usually noticed it after high revs for long periods or aftr filling up at
agas station that does water it down. the smell is strong enough now that i
notice getting light headed at times...bad very bad. Also mostly after i
put a whole ten gallons in it. I messed with the fuel level sending unit.
tightend them bolts down. didn't notice it untill the next day. I had alot
less fuel. I've looked under the car for stains etc. noindication sept for
near the fuel pump and lines side of the tank thats seems to have darked
dust. Usually a sign of a leak.
The evap can was not even properly attached to the car. just hanging by the
lines. when i first came across the car. I sometimes get a smell of old gas
something like the smell of it after its burnt... So i'm thinking there is
some line losse from the canister. I have checked the lines from the fuel
pump.. all are tight. not cracked. I'll take a better look tommaro.
Hayes manuals recently have very little info in them to address any problem
correctly.
I would need to know what lines go where to and from evap can. and then
from evap to fuel pump and tank. I'll take a better look this mornin and
see if anything is off to my untrained eyes.

smelling gas all the time. lol welcome to the world of DSM. smellin gas is
normal in those car so ur gonna have to get used of it
