Peugeot 307 Gear HELP!

Peugeot 307 Gear HELP!

My Peugeot 307 won't go into gear and the gear stick is 'floppy' (you can move it around, but it won't do anything).
Is it the gearbox / flywheel or does it sound like a cable problem?

Thoughts appreciated!!!!

If the gear stick is just flopping about, it sounds like it's the linkage that connects the gear lever to the gear box...
