I'm looking at buying a 1995 Celica GT (127,000 miles) and the seller said that he had to replace the timing belt because the original one broke. I was wondering what kind of damage that could have caused to the engine, etc., since it probably didn't break while sitting at the mechanics. He told me his mechanic said it was fine because it wasn't a Honda...but I don't know. Is it still a good idea to get this car? I haven't driven it yet so I don't know what it sounds like.
