I'm trying to locate an oil filter adapter gasket for an 88 t-bird. It
doesn't look like it's part of the timing cover gasket set most autoparts
stores carry, and noobody carries this part.
The best reply I got was from NAPA who sent me an email saying "no we don't carry this part but if you go to one of our stores I'm sure we can help you" Eh? How? :screwy:
Anyone know where I can get one? Even Motorcraft don't have it on their site, and of course the Ford Dealerships don't sell it in their parts sores but will fit one for mega$$$. :wink2:
You might try www.rockauto.com.
Make one. Buy a roll of cork or if it needs to be rubber use a piece of inter-tubing. Cut it out and your good to go. :2cents:
Thanks but I tried em and no luck.
Good idea! Where does one buy gasket making cork? Is is a special grade/type etc?
Where I live, I can buy it at any Advance Auto Parts, NAPA, or Auto Zone. Only about 3 bucks for a 1X3ft roll or close to those demintions.
Just about any auto supply house (AutoZone, NAPA, Advance, Pep Boys) or industrial supply house
