Lost my key for chevy malibu 99
Hey, I lost my one and only key for my chevy malibu 99. I heard that it is more complex than having one redone by a locksmith since there is a antitheft system. Do you think that it worth the try of the locksmith anyway or it's a complete fail? Is the anti theft system will turn on if I try to start my car with a key cut by a locksmith???

(I know key is not expensive to be cut, but there is no lock smith in town so it will be pretty expensive to make them come or complicate/ expensive to get my car there.)
